Looking for something to do this weekend? Well, Father’s Day is right around the corner, and if you don’t have a gift yet, this handprint t-shirt is perfect. It is a great way to get your kids involved and is pretty simple to make.
All you need are a cotton t-shirt, fabric paint, and fabric markers, which can be bought at any craft store like Michael’s or A.C. Moore.
Once you have the materials, it’s easy! Place the t-shirt on a flat surface and put newspaper in between the layers so that the paint doesn’t bleed through. Then dip your child’s hands in the fabric paint and have them put their handprint on the shirt.
You can use the fabric markers as well to decorate. For example, you can write your child’s name and year under the handprint or write “Best Dad Ever!” or “Best Dad Hands Down!”
When your child is done decorating, let the shirt dry for 24 hours. Once it’s done drying, it’s ready to give! This sentimental gift will for sure make any dad smile. (Even my dad wears his shirt around the house sometimes!)
